Tier II Network Administrator - TS/SCI Clearance - ECS2095

About the Opportunity:
Joint Enterprise Technologies is seeking a qualified TS/SCI cleared Tier II Network Administrator to support an enterprise wide network for our customer based in Tampa, FL. You will be responsible for the operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all networks.
An active Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is required.
Willingness to submit to and pass a counter intelligence (CI) Polygraph.
Provides installation, maintenance and troubleshooting support of voice, video, and/or data communications networks.
Analyzes, administers and maintains voice, video, and/or data communications networks.
Manages the usage and performance of voice, video and/or data communications networks.
Maintains network security and ensures compliance with security policies and procedures.
Evaluates hardware and software, including peripheral, output, and related equipment.
Participates in the development and implementation of network-related procedures and standards.
Participates in and may lead aspects of major network installations and upgrades.
Interfaces with vendors to ensure appropriate resolution during network outages or periods of reduced performance.
Develops and implements testing strategies and document results.
Provides advice and training to end-users.
Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant hardware and software applications as assigned.
Participates in special projects as required.
May require professional certification in one or more specific technologies, depending on job assignment.
Knowledge and Experience:
2+ years of Cisco experience, certifications preferred CCENT, CCNA, or higher.
Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in network administration and support.
Knowledge of routers, switches, patch panels, network cabling, and other network related hardware.
Working knowledge of network technologies and protocols including Trunking, VTP, Layer 2 & 3 Port-channels, Spanning-Tree, Port-Security, HSRP, EIGRP, and OSPF.
Working knowledge of Hierarchical Network design and Multi-layer network design for troubleshooting.
Working knowledge of desktop operating systems and applications for troubleshooting.
Some knowledge of Cisco Voice and Conferencing technologies preferred.
Working experience with trouble ticketing systems like Siebel, Remedy, or ServiceNow.
Knowledge of Splunk, Wireshark, HPNA, HP NNMi, or Netscout is useful, but not mandatory.
Experience with crypto logical devices is also useful, but not mandatory.
This position may be required to complete short-term deployments to austere locations worldwide.
The work is typically performed in an office environment, which requires normal safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment.

A minimum of 2 years of relevant technical experience in the administration of networked desktop and server systems.
HS/GED + 6 years experience
Associates Degree + 4 years experience
Bachelor’s Degree + 2 years experience
Master’s Degree + 0 years experience
Substitute for Educational Requirement:
4 years of related experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s Degree.
Security+ CE or CCNA Security required
CCENT, CCNA or JNCIA (desired)

ITIL Foundations (desired)
