Tier III Network Engineer - TS/SCI Clearance - ECS2199

About the Opportunity:
Joint Enterprise Technologies is seeking a talented Tier III Network Engineer with an active TS/SCI clearance to provide advanced Local Area Network (LAN) design, engineering and implementation services. The main tools utilized for this position include: Putty, SharePoint, GEM, WhatsUpGold, Tivoli, Splunk, Cisco ACS, HPNA, Support Web Incident Tracking System, and various network monitoring, troubleshooting, and documentation tools as required.
An active Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is required.
Willingness to submit to and pass a counter intelligence (CI) Polygraph.
Performs advanced design, engineering, planning, and implementation of local area networks
Analyzes voice, video, and/or data communications networks, including planning, designing, evaluating, selecting, and upgrading network operating systems and protocol suites and configuring communication media with routers, switches, bridges, and other network devices.
Plans network layouts and configures systems to user environments.
Analyzes network topologies and traffic and capacity requirements.
Supports the acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed.
May provide technical support and troubleshooting to users.
May perform network administration duties.
May provide technical guidance and work leadership to less-experienced network personnel.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
Participates in special projects as required.
Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in network analysis and design.
Comprehensive knowledge of routers, switches, patch panels, concentrators, associated terminals, and related network hardware and software.
Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve operating/hardware network system problems
Demonstrate network troubleshooting techniques and experience
Ensure compliance with network security policies and procedures.
Assist in the development of the policies and procedures as they pertain to the network environment.
Experience with BGP and OSPF routing protocols
Experience with both LAN and WAN troubleshooting
GEM experience for monitoring and configuration of crypto equipment
Comprehensive knowledge of CISCO and Juniper routers and switches
Possess comprehensive knowledge of operating systems and applications as they pertain to the network environment
Participate in engineering projects or upgrades as tasked by GDIT management
Interface with vendors to ensure proper configuration and performance of tools and software packages
Process Authorized Service Interruptions (ASI's) as directed by GDIT Management.
Provide After Action Reports (AARs) for Problem Management resolution
Experience with programming and troubleshooting KG-175A and KG-175D encryptors (to include 10Gig encryptors)

A minimum of 8 years of relevant technical experience in the administration of networked desktop and server systems.
HS/GED + 12 years experience
Associates Degree + 10 years experience
Bachelor’s Degree + 8 years experience
Master’s Degree + 6 years experience
PhD + 4 years experience
Security+ CE or CCNA Security required
CCNP or CCDP (desired)
Network + (desired)
ITIL Foundations (desired)
